Case Study: Managing Chronic Facial Puffiness with Manual Lymphatic Drainage
A patient recently came to me with chronic facial and upper-body puffiness associated with allergies, along with fatigue, brain fog, and a persistent feeling of congestion and fullness.
Rather than using deep massage or aggressive techniques, we began with gentle Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) to support healthy lymphatic flow through the face, neck, and upper body.
Noticeable Changes After 2–3 Sessions
After just two to three sessions, the patient reported that she was feeling better overall, breathing more comfortably, and noticing less facial puffiness. One of the most meaningful parts of her progress, though, was learning lymphatic drainage at home. I taught her gentle techniques she could incorporate into her regular routine at home, allowing her to manage her facial puffiness between appointments rather than relying entirely on professional treatments.
Once she had established her home routine, we shifted to approximately one full-body MLD session per month!
